Who We Are


Georgia A. Thompson is from Los Angeles, CA, and has been the director of the Los Angeles Wings of Faith, Inc., on-site supervised visitation center since 1996. Currently, she is overseeing two funded programs: Safe Access For Exchanges Program (S.A.F.E.) and Safe Child Custody Exchanges (on-site exchanges at the Carson Sheriff station).

Georgia provides training to professional and non-professional visitation monitors. She authored and co-authored training manuals for visitation monitors, substance abuse training manuals, parenting teens through the trouble years, and family life for teens.

In 2003 she became an approved trainer for the international Supervised Visitation Network (SVN).  She has extensive experience in child development, family dynamics, cultural diversity, and on-site and off-site visitation monitoring.  She has also practiced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist intern since 2001.

Georgia provides training for new and existing agencies on supervised visitation standards and guidelines, fundraising, connecting to community resources, forms, on-going training curriculum for staff to include technical assistance.

Presently, Georgia sits on the Board of Directors for Supervised Visitation Network as the Co-Chairperson for the Training Committee, Chairperson for the Southern California Supervised Visitation Chapter, Member of CAMFT, American American Pyschotherapy Association, Member of Supervised Visitation Network, and a Member of the Board of Behavioral Science.

As an advocate for the supervised visitation standards and guidelines, Georgia is writing a book on how to set boundaries and still be an effective visitation monitor.
